  • The single peaked at number six on the UK Singles Chart, as well as peaking inside the top ten of the charts in the United States, the Republic of Ireland, Australia and New Zealand and the top twenty of the charts in Canada.
  • 4Music said the song was "infectious" and a "feel good track [which] contrasts softly-sung verses with a big attitude-packed chorus" resulting in a song that was "catchier than the clap."
  • Charlotte Emma Aitchison (born 2 August 1992), better known by her stage name Charli XCX was born in Stevenage, Hertfordshire to a Scottish father and Indian mother from Uganda.
  • In 2007, at the age of 14, XCX began recording her debut album on a loan granted by her parents. 
  • XCX’s influences include Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Spice Girls, Kate Bush, Uffie, Brooke Candy, Lil Wayne and Quentin Tarantino.
  • According to Charli the XCX has no official meaning and "just stands for everything I've done so far."  She chose the name because she thought "it looked cool and sounded catchy".  Upon signing to her label however she noted that it could stand for "X rated Content".
